Showcasing “The Lion King” since 1999, Lyceum Theatre is a renowned West End venue in the City of Westminster. It was established in 1765 and originally hosted a circus and the first London exhibition of waxworks by Madame Tussaud before serving as the English Opera House and the Mecca Ballroom.
Admire Lyceum Theatre’s pillared entrance and portico, which date back to the 1830s before it was rebuilt in 1904 with a richly ornamented Rococo interior. The theatre was Heritage-listed in 1978 and underwent an extensive refurbishment in the 1990s to become the 2,100-seat venue seen today.
