There are early paintings of colonial Melbourne, retro Christmas decorations from the 1920s and exhibits on the Great War and conscription. Other exhibits spotlight the role pioneering women played in shaping the face of Victoria.
The ongoing Built on Gold exhibit offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the vaults used to store gold bullion mined from Victorian fields in the 1800s. Guided tours are a fantastic way to learn more about the unique history of the Old Treasury Building.
