About Rye

A short stroll west of Rye Jetty takes you to the rocky outcrop of White Cliffs where the reconstructed old Lime Burners Kiln is found. It harks back to the mid-19th century when lime extraction was the primary industry in Rye and offers scenic views from its lookout.

Rye makes a great base for exploring the Mornington Peninsula National Park, which protects a diverse array of coastal landscapes.
