About Hamdeok Beach

Located on Jeju Island, Hamdeok Beach is a tranquil getaway with soft white sand, inviting water, a historic red lighthouse and an iconic arched bridge over black basalt. It’s a popular family-friendly beach hangout thanks to its shallow and clean water, public shower rooms and camping site. You’ll also find a range of water sports available, such as water skiing, banana boats, motorboats and fishing.

The nearby Seoubong Peak shields most of Hamdeok Beach from the wind, making it ideal for kayaking, while the ocean further out offers some waves for those seeking more of a challenge. Nestled near the centre of Hamdeok Beach is Cafe Delmoondo, where you can indulge in fresh coffee and delicious pastries and sweets while soaking up the coastal vistas.

While you’re on Jeju Island, why not explore the rest of the island’s natural spoils? The nearby Hallasan National Park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with the highest mountain in South Korea, Hallasan, which is also a shield volcano.
