About Long Jetty

Long Jetty is a colourful town set between Tuggerah Lake and the Pacific Ocean. It’s perched on a peninsula and named after a trio of picturesque jetties. Stroll along the lakeside promenade, enjoy a show at the historic theatre and shop, dine and gallery hop in the bohemian town centre.

Things to do in Long Jetty

Three jetties jut into Tuggerah Lake and give the town its unique name. The longest stretches for more than 350 metres into the water and was built in 1915. Visit at dawn and dusk to see the lake lit up in shades of pink, purple and gold.

The Long Jetty town centre is a showreel for small, independent businesses. Shop at boutiques run by local makers and purchase everything from designer clothes and hand-painted homewares to dreamcatchers and healing crystals. Discover local talent at contemporary galleries and hunt for treasures at antique stores.

Relive the Golden Age at The Savoy, a historic theatre built in the 1950s. The theatre is beautifully renovated with retro-inspired décor. Arrive early to enjoy craft beer, cocktails and chef-driven dishes at the trendy bistro.

Stroll, cycle and roller skate along the scenic lakeside promenade. It skirts the shores of Tuggerah Lake and takes you past all three jetties, as well as shady playgrounds, picnic areas and BBQ spots. The Tuggerah Lake Cycleway loops around the lake and is perfect for family-friendly bike rides.

From trendy bakeries serving organic coffee and delicious pastries to vegan cafes serving plant-based brunches, Long Jetty boasts fantastic dining options. Dine at Italian-inspired trattorias and enjoy locally sourced produce at farm-to-table restaurants.
