Punggol Park is a shaded area renowned for its large central pond, playgrounds and outdoor fitness area. Nearby Coney Island Park is only accessible by foot or bicycle and is one of the best spots to catch views of Malaysia.

Combine exercise with child-friendly fun at Punggol Waterway Park, which has bicycle paths beside the water, children’s play equipment and splash zones. The kids will also love a local pastime called prawning, which takes place along Punggol Promenade. Here you can catch prawns with fishing rods and grill them on the public barbecue pits.

For a look at Singapore’s traditional culture, visit Chomp Chomp Food Centre, a popular hawker centre where you can browse stalls selling handicrafts and local delicacies, such as fried carrot cake and sambal stingray.
