The black-and-white striped lighthouse was built in the 1870s and offers tour the Keepers Quarters. You can also climb 200 steps to the top of the lighthouse for panoramic coastal vistas.

Outer Banks is perfect for casting a line from the beach, fishing off the pier or signing up for a guided deep-sea charter. The region is coveted as the Billfish Capital of the World", which means you have the chance to reel in monster-sized bluefish and marlin.

Getting around Nags Head

The easiest way to explore Nags Head and the Outer Banks is with a rental car. Norfolk International is the closest airport, around 10 kilometres from Nags Head. Ferries are also a popular way to get around Outer Banks.
