About Cala Major

Spend a day relaxing on the sands of Platja de Cala Major, which stretches for 200 metres between two rocky headlands. It’s dotted with thatched beach umbrellas and sun loungers available for rent and is backed by breezy restaurants and bars where you can dine on tapas throughout the day. Elevated views across the coastline are on offer from Mirador Santa Eugenia, which is an easy climb from the beach.

Art enthusiasts can visit the Fundació Miró Mallorca, which occupies the workshops where Miró created from the 1950s to the 1980s. The studio was designed in 1956 by Josep Lluis Sert, and graffiti created by Miró can still be seen on the walls today. In addition to showcasing thousands of works donated by the artist, the museum also preserves the nearby Finca Son Boter, which he used as an atelier.

Golfers can hit the fairways of the Real Golf de Bendinat, which is backed by the centuries-old Castillo de Bendinat. It was originally laid out as a 9-hole course in 1986 before being extended in 1995 under the expertise of Martin Hawtree. After completing your round, you can enjoy beers and paella on the clubhouse terrace overlooking the 18th green.
