Porto Cristo is set on a turquoise bay fringed by a postcard-perfect sandy beach and low-lying limestone cliffs. Rent a sun lounger for the day and enjoy a leisurely paddle on a pedalo boat. You’ll find a constellation of cafes, bars and restaurants clustered around the port where you can enjoy an al fresco lunch in the sunshine and dine on ocean-fresh seafood. For a quieter scene, escape to nearby beaches like Cala Anguila and Cala Mendia.

The legendery Dragon Caves were formed millions of years ago and attract holidaymakers from across the island. Guided tours take you deep into the caves, where you can admire enormous stalactites and visit Lake Martel, one of the largest subterranean lakes in the world.

Porto Cristo has a proud seafaring past and is dotted with buildings that celebrate the town’s maritime heritage. Centuries-old Mare de Deu del Carme is dedicated to the patron saint of seafarers and features a beautiful limestone façade and barrel vault ceiling.

Venture outside the resort to discover the fascinating archaeological around Porto Cristo. Sa Gruta and Son Moro are two of the oldest burial sites and date back to prehistoric times. In the town centre, you can marvel at the remains of an ancient Roman basilica.
