Strathpine is a laid-back township in the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland. Just 10 kilometres from the Redcliffe Peninsula along the North Pine River, Strathpine offers superb fishing opportunities, coastal trails and scenic nature parks.

Things to do in Strathpine

Step back in time with a visit to Old Petrie Town, a historic village set on 19 hectares of farmland. Wander along the streets of yesteryear, stopping by the working blacksmith or old-fashioned lolly shop. Take a ride on a horse and cart or cruise the city in a classic vintage car. If you’re in town on Sunday, head to the Old Petrie Town Market to find unique handicrafts, second-hand books and fresh local produce.

Keen for some fishing, boating, kayaking or SUPing? Strathpine's rivers, creeks and estuaries offer an array of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. The South Pine River is an excellent spot for reeling in bream, bass and flathead, while the North Pine River and Lake Samsonvale are perfect for a day of kayaking and boating.

Enjoy a picnic at Pine Rivers Park, which has plenty of shaded areas, walking tracks and barbecue facilities, as well as an impressive playground featuring a flying fox and 9-hole golf course.
