With religious temples, history museums and artistic neighbourhoods, Shalu District is packed with attractions and activities to see and do. A sub district of Taichung City, Shalu District is a family-friendly area in the city centre.
To learn about Taiwan’s religious roots and local customs, head to Taichung Confucius Temple, located in downtown Taichung. This modern temple is bursting with vivid colours, making it different from most temples in the area. You can also visit in the afternoon to watch the locals in prayer.
