About Queensbay Mall

One of the largest shopping centres in Penang and a popular hub for locals, Queensbay Mall has numerous shopping opportunities, with 400 stores spread over five floors and thousands of metres squared full of activity and entertainment. Situated between Bayan Lepas and George Town, the mall is in a perfect location on the island of Penang, Malaysia, and is a popular hub of the area, drawing tourists and locals alike. It is an energetic and vibrant shopping centre offering a range of services and stores for every shopping need and every entertainment whim, promoted by its tagline, “It’s all happening here!”.

The shopping centre ranges in products, from popular high-street brands to wealthy, exclusive items, including clothing, furniture, technology and homeware, making it the perfect location for any shopping enthusiast. The setting itself is comfortable and adds to the quality shopping experience, with colourful shop displays and helpful directions to help visitors navigate the large centre. On the third floor, visitors will find a lifestyle and entertainment zone providing a selection of activities, including fashion and leisure attractions, where they can choose to shop, play or relax. For further relaxation, visitors can unwind in any of the restaurants or cafes, to energise themselves for more shopping, or take a break at the cinema and watch one of the latest movies, or even play laser tag and sing karaoke.

Located not far from the iconic Penang Bridge, Queensbay Mall is not hard to find, and visitors can easily reach it via local buses which travel from George Town main terminal to the industrial area of the shopping centre. The nearest airport, Penang International Airport, is only a 10-minute drive from the mall and buses leave from the Queensbay stop on a regular basis.

On 1st December 2006, Queensbay Mall opened its doors and quickly became one of the largest and most successful shopping malls in Penang. Architects ensured its strategic location in the Free Trade Zone in Bayan Lepas and officials secured the key anchor tenant AEON, which dominates the lower floors, including a supermarket.
