About Beitostølen

Famed for its cross-country ski trails, Beitostølen is a traditional Norwegian mountain village that’s located between Jotunheimen and Langsua national parks. In the summer months, it’s a popular destination for mountain biking, horse riding and rafting while in winter it transforms into a snowy wonderland for skiing, dog sledding and tobogganing.

You can experience Beitostølen’s magical winter landscape aboard a dog sled or sleigh ride, then visit Myhre Farm’s equestrian centre to ride their friendly horses through the snow. Snow tubing, snow rafting and snowshoe hikes are also on offer, as is snowmobiling on a specially-designed circuit.

Visiting in the summer months? Race down the slopes in a go-kart or challenge yourself on Beitostølen’s mountain biking trails. Anglers can try their luck at catching mountain trout on Lake Øyangen, scenic boat cruises are available on Bygdin Lake and rafting expeditions tackle the Sjoa River.
