The location was great, in a quiet area during the night but close to a metro station and at walking distance from the commercial streets and turistic points like pontocho, imperial palace. Easy to walk to downtown area as well as major subway lines. The staff was very warm and accommodating, and tended to our every need. They were so nice and helpful with everything. The rooms were spacious and clean. This place is simply awesome, modern bathrooms, nice tatami mats and traditional beds. Lights with remote controls so you can turn them off after you get to bed. The common area is cozy and great for meeting other travelers, or chatting with the staff who speak excellent English. I would return here in a heartbeat if I came to Kyoto again.
