Visit the largest mountain cirque in the Alps, Fer a Cheval, for rewarding hiking. It’s surrounded by 2,000-metre-high cliffs, a limestone amphitheatre and alpine mountain cirque, while more than 30 majestic waterfalls cascade down the rocky walls during summer.

To see one of the best-known waterfalls in the French Alps, make the trek to Cascade du Rouget, also known as “The Queen of the Alps”. Take in the beauty of this 90-metre waterfall after first hiking past smaller twin waterfalls amid a lush forest.
