Nestled in the south-east of Corsica, Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio is a small village near the popular beach resort of Pinarellu. It’s home to a handful of eateries and bars while serving as a gateway to the natural swimming holes that dot the Cavu River.
On the northwestern edge of Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio is Le Pont de Purciella, a scenic swimming hole framed by rocks. It’s located en route to the Piscines Naturelles de Cavu, a series of natural pools surrounded by granite boulders that have been carved by cascades.
Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio is a short drive from Pinarellu, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica’s south. Overlooking a tranquil bay, the calm waters are ideal for families and there are several restaurants backing the sand where you can dine throughout the day.

Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio is around 15 minutes’ drive from Porto-Vecchio and 45 minutes from Bonifacio. Bastia Poretta Airport is just under two hours away and has seasonal flights to destinations across Europe. Renting a car is the most convenient way of getting to Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio.
