Where to stay in Mindarie

About Mindarie

Perched on the sparkling Indian Ocean coast, Mindarie is a fantastic place to soak up Perth’s world-famous sunshine. The outer coastal suburb is home to some of the city’s best beaches, as well as a vibrant dining and entertainment scene. For those wanting easy access to Perth’s pristine beaches, Mindarie is a fabulous choice.

Brimming with opportunities to eat, drink and play, Mindarie Marina is one of Perth’s most popular oceanside destinations. With stunning sunsets, a string of waterfront dining options and a stylish Mediterranean feel, enjoying a meal on the boardwalk is a must. Beyond relaxing, the marina is also a jumping point for deep sea fishing trips, whale watching cruises, jet boat rides and more.

Mindarie sits 36 kilometres north of Perth and forms part of the City of Wanneroo area. Clarkson is the closest railway station, with local buses ferrying passengers to Mindarie Marina in just minutes. From the CBD, the public transport journey takes just under one hour. Alternatively, Mindarie is an easy 30-minute drive up the Mitchell Freeway.

While today Mindarie has been modernised, the council has made a fantastic effort to preserve its natural beauty. Bushland reserves and parks pepper the area and protect delicate ecosystems like its sprawling coastal sand dunes.
