Things to do in Kemer
Kemer's biggest draw is Moonlight Beach, considered one of the jewels of the Turkish Rivera. You can top up your tan or make a splash in the crystal-clear water. For a different perspective, jump aboard a yacht or sailboat and cruise along the Mediterranean coast.
The Toros Mountains sit to the east of Kemer and are laced with scenic hiking trails that wind through lush pine forests. You can also stretch your legs in Olympos National Park, where you'll find iconic hiking trails like the Lycian Way.
The ancient harbour town of Phaselis is a slice of living history. It was founded in the 4th century BC and is scattered with Byzantium and Roman ruins. It sits on a picturesque peninsula, so you can also bask on a pebbly beach or cool off in the water.
When the sun sets, the streets of Kemer hum with energy. You can shop for souvenirs at open-air market stalls, sip on fruity cocktails or enjoy a leisurely meal at one of the traditional restaurants that spill out onto the sidewalk.
Getting around Kemer
Kemer is just 40 kilometres south of Antalya, with the drive taking around 45 minutes. Mini buses run to nearby towns like Kemer, Phaselis, Olimpos and Cirali. The port town is easy to get around on foot, with a stroll to the beach taking just a few minutes. In summer, water shuttles run between Kemer and Antalya's Old Harbor.
