Things to do in Isparta Province
The first thing you'll notice when you arrive in Isparta is the heavenly scent of roses lingering in the air. The city is famous for its "attar of rose" extract, which is coveted by perfume ateliers across the globe. As you stroll around the town, you'll find a variety of stores selling rose-infused beauty products.
Venture out of town to visit a rural rose-growing village like Senir, where locals have been harvesting the petals of native Damask roses for centuries. Guided tours let you stroll around the rose fields, chat to flower farmers and visit a traditional distillation factory.
Escape to Egirdir, a laid-back town set on the banks of the placid Lake Egirdir. It's dotted with traditional guesthouses and restaurants serving freshly-caught fish.
