About Cranberry Township

Originally home to the Iroquois, Delaware and Seneca nations, Cranberry Township was officially chartered in 1804 and is now one of the fastest-growing neighbourhoods in Pittsburgh. The area was visited by George Washington in 1753 when he hiked along the Venango Path to deliver a message that would ultimately result in the French and Indian War.

In the heart of Cranberry Township is the Cranberry Mall, where you’ll find department stores, fashion retailers and wellness centres. You can pick up groceries at ALDI, get lost in the Walmart Supercenter or browse the crafting and hobby supplies at Michaels. Once you’ve built up an appetite, there are plenty of places to eat, including Panda Express, Wendy’s and Blaze Pizza.

Hugging the banks of Brush Creek is Graham Park, which is home to a variety of sporting fields and courts, plus a pirate-themed children’s playground. You can stretch your legs on the leafy walking and jogging trails, relax beside the fishing pond or take advantage of the bike repair shed. Also nearby is the Cranberry Township Community Park, where you’ll find a miniature golf course.

Keen golfers can test their skills at the Treesdale Golf & Country Club, which encompasses the 9-hole Orchard, Lakes and Groves courses. The fairways extend between rolling fields, apple orchards and wetlands and were designed by the American golfing legend Arnold Palmer. The club also boasts a driving range and practice green, as well as a well-stocked pro shop and two restaurants.
