Things to do in Belgrade

In the heart of Belgrade is Lewis and Clark Park, which is a popular recreational destination for the local community. In addition to a large playground and a covered picnic area, there is plenty of space to run around. Skateboarders, scooter riders and roller skaters can test their skills in the skate park while the water park is an ideal place to cool off in the hot, summer months.

If you’re a fan of car racing, coincide your visit to Belgrade with a meet at the Gallatin Speedway, which was established in 1997 to replace the old Valley Speedway. It regularly hosts WISSOTA dirt track racing events featuring “Late Models”, “Super Stocks” and “Street Stocks”, with plenty of concession stands where you can grab snacks and drinks.

Travelling with kids? Be sure to spend a few hours exploring the Museum of the Rockies, which boasts the largest collection of dinosaur remains in the United States. Based in Bozeman and affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution, the museum also houses exhibits detailing the life of Northern Plains Native Americans, fur traders and gold seekers. You can experience life in a turn-of-the-century home at Tinsley House or experience an astronomical show in the Taylor Planetarium.
