Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok Hotel

The breakfast buffet is good, especially while sitting outdoors. Also their afternoon tea is lovely. The Shangri-La has a bit of a faded glory. Some parts looked a bit rough around the edges. But over-all this is a great hotel. It is well located near ferries & skytrain. The surrounding area is very interesting. Enjoy your stay! The hotel is very nice. There are actually two different towers, but they'll get you a golf cart to take you to the other one if you're at the wrong one. They're kind of next to each other. Our room had a view of the river and the pool down below. It's quite a romantic sight to be near the pool and river in the evening.

We always stay at the Shangri La and this time we opted for the Krungthep wing rooms which are wonderful and offer river views. You have direct access to the sky train from the hotel so moving around the city is easy and the pool areas are tranquil and the service is exquisite. If staying in the Krungthep wing have breakfast in the lobby, restaurant within this wing as it's waiter served. The hotel transportation is superb and adds that extra luxury to your stay 0 complaints, fantastic value hotel. Stayed in the premier suite here, breakfast was fantastic, room comfort was brilliant. Well located for amenities suited to the clientele of the Shangri la, close to the river.

As you enter the Shangri la Hotel - you get a sense of just awesome this hotel is. The lobby area is spacious and very calm. The flower display is truly beautiful. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had gone there for a business meeting in the lobby lounge with an associate. At the time of my visit, they were serving afternoon tea. There was also music and couples were dancing ballroom style. This hotel has a good reputation for great service. The staff are a credit to the hotel and deserve merit. i enjoyed my meeting amid the pleasant music and the ambience of the hotel. If I can get a good deal, I would like to spend a couple of nights at the Shangri La. The back of the hotel has a swimming pool. It overlooks the Chao Phraya river. It is a great setting. Went to this place. very beautiful environment, had Thai rum yum Kong, pad thai which is the best Thai food in Bangkok. staff is so polite and amazing. Kuhn yuwannee is very nice lady there. Felt there like a family.

Highly recommended!! Upon arriving at the hotel, friendly staff greeted us. While using Happy Hour in the lounge, my room was cleaned up perfectly. Especially Mr.Mint manager in the lounge, he was very friendly to my dad. And the another staff in the concierge (guessing Japanese women) she was also very kind. Thank you to all the staff for making good memories with my dad. I'll stay again next time.
