The bed was comfortable and the hotel well located. I complained about the size of my room and was offered another room which I took. They offer a nice breakfast and here their service could be improved. On the first day service was good, I was seated immediately and treated with respect. The front of house staff were as good as any hotel I have stayed in and the restaurant staff served an international clientele dealing with differences of culture, diet and attitude with good humor and efficiency. Superb breakfast and simple but varied restaurant menu. Too often big city hotels have that feeling of brisk indifference. Not at the Vanderbilt and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
