The bed was comfortable, internet was strong and free, the TV was a good flat screen on a dresser with drawers, and, most importantly, everything was clean to my standards! Our room had a drawers and also a built-in closet with ironing board, iron and umbrella! The kitchenette had everything travelers need, and if we needed more, a note reminded us we need only ask. It had a two burner stove, a microwave, a toaster, a coffeemaker with supplies, dishes and silverware, a kitchen sink with dish soap, and a larger than most hotel fridge. The bathroom had a blow dryer, some toiletries, a bathtub with shower head and good water pressure. One morning, the water was brown, but the front desk said work was being done on the boiler, and the yukky water was temporary. That is the only negative I can mention in a week of staying at the Hotel Beacon. It was pricey for us, but the kitchenette really was handy and made the extra cost worthwhile, not to mention the good neighborhood and proximity to the subway. Highly recommended!
