About Al Majaz Park

Al Majaz Park occupies two hectares of prime waterfront real estate by the picturesque Khalid Lagoon. The grassy lawns are perfect for enjoying a picnic or tossing a frisbee, while the scenic footpaths are great for a stroll.

At the centre of the park, Al Noor Mosque features a traditional Ottoman design and is open for guided tours. Rent a boat and paddle on the lagoon, then head to one of the cafes or restaurants for tasty Emirati cuisine. Some of the outlets feature upstairs terraces with fantastic views over the park and city.

Stroll along the waterfront promenade at sunset for stunning views of the brightly lit skyscrapers. Stay for the spectacular Sharjah Fountain show, which features colourful lasers and water jets. Other family-friendly attractions include playgrounds, a mini-golf park and a camera obscura. Fast, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the park.

Getting there

Al Majaz Park is located in Sharjah, a 30-minute drive from Downtown Dubai and 1.5 hours from Abu Dhabi. Parking is available and local buses stop within a five-minute walk of the park. Dubai International Airport is a 20-minute drive away.
