Guest House Kamejikan - Hostel

LikedThe location was off the beaten tourist track near the ocean, easy bus ride.A few restaurants a short walk are available. The building is historic with much character ,the decor is unique and creative . We had a traditional room with the garden view which was lovely especially as there was a heavy rain and we felt so cozy inside.The futon ,linens and pillow were comfortable. A community area with access to hot water for tea /coffee and a fridge to use.

DislikedOnly one shower ,it was not an issue as everyone was efficient and quick.No line .

LikedAlthough it is a hostel, the facilities inside are very complete and clean and comfortable. It is very suitable for travelers who like Japanese style.

LikedThey offered me a surfboard and wetsuit when I inquired about a potential rental, it was very kind of them.

DislikedOur rooms wall was literally the back of the common room kitchen area, so we were not able to get sleep until very late. Its a small ryokan, which is fine, but just understand you are unlikely to get much of any rest here, as they leave all the lights on ( and the light will flood your room as the only barriers are the thin traditional sliding doors between areas ), til at least 11pm, if not later. As the kitchen is literally backing up to two of the rooms ( which also have no real separation for sound between rooms ) you will not find quiet until very late at night.

LikedIt is a very nice Guest House. A typical japanese house with typical japanese rooms. Everything was nice and we meet a lot of people frim all over the world. Thanks from Germany

LikedOwner is a elder backpacker, so they know what voyager need. The staff also very nice, my shoes are broken when i arrived, they show me where to repair patiently.it's very nice to charting with people in the hostel. The building is a traditional old house, Furnishings have a good taste, let you feel at home. Also very clean palce.
