It features a newly renovated Children's Flight Centre where they can get behind the controls of flight simulators and arcade-style gaming consoles.

Stroll along the Sault Saint Marie Canal, which carves through the Whitefish Island Indian Reserve and is lined with historic red sandstone buildings. Admire the Heritage-listed canalmen's shelter and the charming blacksmith shop, then see the 19th-century machinery that’s still used to operate the canal’s lock.

Drive north to the Pancake Bay Provincial Park, which protects a fragile beach dune ecosystem. Follow the Pancake Bay Nature Trail to explore the fen wetlands and glacial rocks or opt for the Lookout Trail for stunning views of the Canadian Shield and sightings of peregrine falcons soaring above.

Travel across the St. Mary’s River to visit the Point Iroquois Light, a 19th-century lighthouse overlooking the waters of Whitefish Bay. This iconic building and its lighthouse keeper’s residence house a maritime museum where historic lighthouse lenses and other navigational artefacts are on display.
