Lovers Key State Park spreads across four barrier islands with pristine beaches, nature trails, unspoiled mangroves and a wildlife haven harboring West Indian manatees, bald eagles, roseate spoonbills and bottlenose dolphins. Do you crave a close encounter with native wildlife? Book an eco-educational tour to kayak with manatees at Barefoot Beach Preserve.

One of Florida’s roadside attractions, Everglades Wonder Gardens has a fascinating collection of Florida wildlife, including alligators, rescued tropical birds, flamingos, panthers and bears.
